The National Library of Medicine (NLM) is pleased to announce the launch of the Semantic Precision for AI Retrieval of Knowledge (SPARK) Challenges. Engineers, data scientists, researchers, startups, and non-profits are invited to build AI systems that improve biomedical literature and clinical research data discovery across PubMed/PMC (35 million-plus citations) and dbGaP.

The SPARK challenge spans four tracks and is open to the public, industry, and academia. NLM is offering a combined $500,000 prize pool across both competitions.
