Mumbai: Apollo Homecare has expanded its medical equipment sales and service network across six major cities amid rising demand for home-based medical care.
The company stated it has established a presence across Delhi NCR, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Kolkata, with delivery services extending to other locations across India. It has also upgraded its e-commerce platform to enable customers to compare rental and purchase options and explore financing.
Apollo Homecare said equipment rentals nearly doubled year-on-year in FY26, while equipment sales grew nearly 140 per cent. This compared with rental growth of around 7 per cent and sales growth of 24 per cent in the previous year, according to the company.
The company attributed the growth partly to increasing demand for respiratory equipment, including oxygen concentrators and CPAP machines, as well as hospital beds and wheelchairs for home-based recovery and longer-term care.
India’s homecare medical equipment market was valued at approximately USD 1.5 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach USD 2.4 billion by 2034, according to research firm IMARC Group, as cited by the company.
“Most families end up in a peculiar situation at the time of hospital discharge or post a Doctor consultation. The tedious journey of navigating between products, providers and pricing. The decision is rushed given need and the options feel overwhelming,” said Vishal Lathwal, CEO, Apollo Homecare.
He said the company aims to help patients make informed decisions through product counselling, rental and purchase options, financing, installation and post-purchase support.
The shift towards home-based medical equipment can offer an alternative for clinically stable patients who require continued support after discharge. However, appropriate equipment selection, installation, training and follow-up remain important to ensure safe use at home.
